Crop tops, once a holdover from the 90s, have made a significant comeback in recent years and have become one of the most common trends. A crop top is a type of trendy shirt that showcases an attractive belly look. While using thick yarn for a cropped top may seem counterintuitive, in fact, crop tops actually look great when crocheted from materials. Let these examples prove it to you. While a crop top may not be the first piece of clothing you think of when you think of crocheting a top, it’s actually a really great place to start. First, its fit means it’s quite gentle, meaning if you make a small mistake it most likely won’t change the way the top sits on your skin (or the skin of whoever you are doing it for. ).

“Rêverie d’Été” is a little summer top with pretty lace at the back that can be worn short, over your dresses or with your high waisted skirts, shorts or pants.

It is a derivative of the “Midsummer Dream” pattern from the “Sur un dream” collection, for which you must already have the pattern to be able to knit “Summer Dream”. In fact, in the file for “Summer Reverie” you will only find the explanations of what I have modified compared to “Midsummer Dream” (available in my Ravelry store).
